The Meaning of Sabbath Summary

"Sabbath, "from Hebrew shabbath (Greek sabbaton), which means: cessation from labor, rest.

The book of Exodus chapter 20, verses 8, 9,10, and 11, all witness the Commandment of the Sabbath day, as given to Moses by Yahweh;
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10 but the seventh day is the sabbath of Yahweh thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yahweh blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Nowhere in Scripture is there any mention of God changing that Commandment, or any Commandment. Yesu as the faultless son kept all of his Commandant's perfectly.

These actions were recorded and can be found in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. We can know that Yesu pleased God, as it seemed right for God, to tell the people when Yesu was baptized
by John the Baptist, in Matthew 3, verse 17, "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased."
